Independent software work, public source, and an insistence that a claim should come with something you can inspect.

What I’m building

I build tools that keep AI work honest, inspectable, and continuable. That includes fakegreen for changes that undermine tests, the handoff language for carrying work between agents, and MCP tools with explicit boundaries around action.

Almeida Press is the public desk for that work: a curated project index, explanations, and a place to find the source. It is not a list of every experiment or a claim that all of the projects are finished.

Where the work lives

My GitHub account is fitzyracing1. Some related work lives in Almeidafly, including signal-lights and mirror-bot.

I work from Massachusetts and am interested in Portugal’s technology ecosystem. The Amália SDK project explores Python tooling for open European Portuguese AI. That is an interest in an ecosystem, not a claim to be its official representative.

How to read this site

Project pages describe purpose and boundaries. Repository links lead to current implementation and setup instructions. Blog posts are dated explanations, not live health checks.
